“The man of "True Grit" is back and look who's got him!”

A band of drunken thugs overruns a small town in the Indian Nation, killing Reverend Goodnight and terrorizing the women. His daughter Eula (Katharine Hepburn) goes looking for help and lands on Rooster Cogburn (John Wayne), an aging one-eyed marshal whose badge has been suspended for arrests that keep ending in bloodshed. Stuart Millar directs the pursuit as a rough, grainy chase, with the mismatched pair pushed along by the urgency of the trail.
