Sisters Inger (Sofie Gråbøl) and Ellen (Lene Maria Christensen) board a coach bound for Paris with a busload of fellow travelers, a trip they have waited a long time for. Early in the week Inger tells the group about her schizophrenia, and the answers range from pity to a colder kind of distance. Niels Arden Oplev keeps the camera on the seats, the aisle and the faces turned toward the window, where Inger sits looking out at the road to Paris.
