“The Pentagon denied it was a UFO. But one man knew better, because he was there.”

In July 1947, a rancher named Mac Brazel (Dwight Yoakam) finds strange wreckage scattered across a field outside Roswell, New Mexico, and reports it to the nearby Army base. Major Jesse Marcel (Kyle MacLachlan) inspects the debris, then hears from his superiors that it was only a weather balloon. Jeremy Kagan's film, drawn from a book billed as a true account, follows a man whose sworn duty and his own eyes no longer agree.
