Haruko (Chisa Yokoyama) is a young nursing student who looks after Mr. Takazawa (Hikojiro Matsumura), an elderly invalid, at his home. Then the Ministry of Public Welfare selects him to test the Z-001, a computerized hospital bed that claims to out-nurse any human. Hiroyuki Kitakubo follows Haruko's distrust of a machine that cannot weigh what an old man feels, and what we owe the people who raised us.
