“Elvis Presley as a Roving, Restless, Reckless, ROUSTABOUT”

Charlie Rogers (Elvis Presley) loses his job at a coffee shop and needs work, any work, so he signs on with a struggling carnival run by Maggie Morgan (Barbara Stanwyck). John Rich directs this musical, and Charlie sings between the rides and the midway while Cathy Lean (Joan Freeman) catches his eye and her father Joe (Leif Erickson) doesn't like it. Charlie came for a paycheck and a place to sleep, and the carnival makes him an offer neither of those covers.
