Royal Palace

Princesse Armelle (Valérie Lemercier) is married to Prince Arnaud (Lambert Wilson), the younger son of an invented European kingdom. When the king dies without warning, the law says his successor must be married, which puts Armelle and Arnaud next in line, under the eye of Queen Eugénia (Catherine Deneuve). Lemercier also directs, and the film is about how a family behaves once its private life has become a public institution.
