Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken

“Discover the hero just beneath the surface.”

Ruby Gillman (Lana Condor) is a sweet, awkward student at Oceanside High who just wants to fit in, until she learns she descends from the warrior kraken queens. Kirk DeMicco follows her as she takes on powers she never asked for, with her commanding grandmother (Jane Fonda) waiting to hand over the throne. Under the jokes, it's about a girl deciding whether the thing that makes her strange is also the thing worth protecting.
