Ruby in Paradise

“A woman's search for herself.”

Ruby Lee Gissing (Ashley Judd) leaves her small town in Tennessee after her mother dies, hoping to start over somewhere on the Florida coast. She takes a job at a souvenir shop run by Mildred Chambers (Dorothy Lyman) and slowly learns the place. Victor Nuñez lets Ruby's attention drift between Mildred's charming son Ricky (Bentley Mitchum) and the steadier Mike (Todd Field), and each man wants a different life with her.
