“The Official Motion Picture of the G7.”

Hilda Orlmann (Cate Blanchett) and the other six leaders of the G7's wealthiest democracies need to produce a statement on a global crisis before the annual summit ends. Instead they get lost in the woods, with Maxime Laplace (Roy Dupuis) and Cardosa Dewindt (Nikki Amuka-Bird) among them, and the danger grows while they argue over the wording. Guy Maddin directs with Evan and Galen Johnson, and he plays the whole thing at the same flat, serious pitch.
