Running on Karma

“He is a monk. He knows kung fu. And, he can see the future.”

Biggie (Andy Lau) is a former monk who now works as a body-builder, and he wants to use a strange gift for reading the karma in other people's lives to change the fate of Lee Fung-yee (Cecilia Cheung), a police officer he befriends. Johnnie To and Wai Ka-fai build the film around her cases and the dangers each one brings. Biggie stands in the gym with his shirt off, huge and bare-chested, his shaved head catching the light.
