“Two of Chicago's finest?”

Chicago detectives Ray Hughes (Gregory Hines) and Danny Costanzo (Billy Crystal) are chasing the drug dealer who nearly killed them once before, and they have to do it with rusty reflexes after a stretch of vacation in Key West. Peter Hyams keeps the two partners bickering and moving, with a retirement they've both been planning pulling at them. Danny talks the most and Ray watches the exits, and each is trying to get out of the job before it gets one of them.
