Someone is making a quiet, deliberate sweep through the people around Kenshin Himura (Takeru Satoh), and in 1879 the former assassin is still trying to live as a wanderer who carries a reversed-blade sword. The man behind it is Enishi Yukishiro (Mackenyu), his former brother-in-law, who has vowed revenge for the death of his sister. Keishi Otomo makes the fight to protect Kaoru (Emi Takei) a question of whether a man can ever put down what he once did.
