“When he first fell in love...”

Ranbir Raj (Ranbir Kapoor), a singer, arrives in a small town hoping to find somewhere that feels like his. There he meets Sakina (Sonam Kapoor Ahuja), a young woman who has come to meet a lover and is waiting for him. Sanjay Leela Bhansali, adapting Dostoevsky's White Nights, gives them a few dream-like days together, and each hour Ranbir spends with her tangles his hopes with what she is still waiting for.
