Sailor Beware

“They go down to the sea in ships… and come up with oceans of LAUGHTER!”

Al Crowthers (Dean Martin) has been turned away from the navy more than once, but he keeps lining up again because he thinks a uniform will get him noticed by women. Next to him in the recruiting line is Melvin Jones (Jerry Lewis), who is allergic to women's cosmetics and signs up because his doctor ordered ocean travel. Hal Walker stages it as a loud, bright showcase for the Martin and Lewis act, built to play to a full house.
