“December 5 will never be the same...”

Niklas (Huub Stapel) is a Dutch father who, every December 5th, has to watch the country celebrate the bishop he remembers as a killer. In Dick Maas's film, Sinterklaas is a ghost who takes children and murders adults whenever the night of his feast falls on a full moon. Niklas and Frank (Egbert Jan Weeber), a student with his own reasons to fear that night, are two people drawn together by one shared dread.
