Salmon Fishing in the Yemen

“Make the Improbable Possible”

A consultant named Harriet (Emily Blunt) shows up at the office of fisheries expert Dr. Alfred Jones (Ewan McGregor) with a request that sounds like a joke: build a salmon river in the Yemeni desert for Sheikh Muhammad (Amr Waked). Alfred says no, but the sheikh's money keeps pulling him back. Lasse Hallström sets a man who trusts only data against a plan that depends on faith, and Alfred's marriage and career stand to pay for the attempt.
