Salon Mexico

In 1949 Mexico City, Mercedes Gómez (Marga López) spends her nights as a dance hall girl at the Salón México. Every peso she earns goes to keeping her younger sister at an exclusive school, a life Mercedes works hard to keep her from seeing. Emilio Fernández follows Mercedes and Paco (Rodolfo Acosta) into a dance contest, where a prize that should be split between them goes to one pair of hands.
