“Who is Salt?”

A Russian defector walks into a CIA office and names Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) as a sleeper spy planted by Moscow decades ago. Phillip Noyce follows her as she runs from her own colleagues, including Theodore Winter (Liev Schreiber), while trying to protect her husband. The more she does to clear her name, the less anyone believes her, and the film keeps asking whether an oath can outlast a past.
