“The right stuff of the cosmonauts.”

Vladimir Fyodorov (Vladimir Vdovichenkov) is a Soviet cosmonaut called up in June 1985, when contact with the Salyut 7 station goes silent. He and flight engineer Viktor Alyokhin (Pavel Derevyanko) are sent to dock with the dead, frozen craft and bring her back to life. Klim Shipenko builds the story on real events, and the two men have no certainty the station will take them in or that they will return.
