Sam (Jake Hoffman) has moved back home to look after his ailing father, Bill (Dustin Hoffman), a loud, larger-than-life man who has never been easy to live with. Then Sam falls for Kate (Schuyler Fisk), a local woman, and Bill, to his son's surprise, starts falling for her mother, Tina (Sissy Spacek). Darren Le Gallo's debut puts two generations of a family in the same small town, with real parents and children playing each pair.
