Sambizanga

Maria (Elisa Andrade) is the wife of Domingos (Domingos de Oliveira), a member of the MPLA liberation movement in Angola in 1961, when the Portuguese secret police take him away. Sarah Maldoror follows her on foot from one prison station to the next, carrying her baby, asking each official where he is. Nobody will tell her, and every day she spends searching is a day he spends in their hands.
