Inder Parihar (Harshvardhan Rane) is an ex-convict whom the neighbours cross the street to avoid, and Saraswati Parthasarthy (Mawra Hocane) is the quiet, traditional woman who somehow sees past that. Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru build the story out of the Shiva-Sati legends and Eric Segal's novel Love Story. Their courtship and marriage rest on two people who could hardly be less alike.
