Sandra

“Sandra is excitement! What Sandra does... is astonishing!”

Sandra Dawson (Claudia Cardinale) wants to see her family home in Volterra settled and sold, and to be done with the place. She goes back with her husband, Andrew (Michael Craig), and is soon pulled toward her brother, Gianni (Jean Sorel), and the memories the house keeps. Luchino Visconti retells the Electra story as a film about a family that cannot stop returning to its dead.
