Sarah's Key

“Uncover the mystery.”

Julia Jarmond (Kristin Scott Thomas), an American journalist living in Paris, is assigned to write about the roundup of Jewish families in July 1942, and she wants to get the account right. Her search through the archives leads to Sarah Starzynski (Mélusine Mayance), a ten-year-old who locked her little brother in a closet before the police came. Gilles Paquet-Brenner follows Julia as the file turns up a secret inside her husband's family, and she cannot let it go.
