Satan's Little Helper

“You'll laugh 'til you die.”

Douglas "Dougie" Whooly (Alexander Brickel) is a nine-year-old who spends his days with a video game about serving Satan and his Halloween waiting for the real thing. When he meets a masked stranger in the street, he takes him for the devil's own helper and happily follows him around, never grasping what the man is doing. Jeff Lieberman, back behind the camera after seventeen years, plays the killings as black comedy and lets the deadpan do the work.
