The Contessa Alba d'Oltrevita (Lyda Borelli) is an old woman who would give anything to be young again. She strikes her bargain with Mephisto (Ugo Bazzini) and gets her youth back, on the condition that she stay away from love, and then two brothers fall for her. Nino Oxilia made it as a silent film with a score by Pietro Mascagni, and what stays with you is Borelli, young again and wanting, in the frame.
