“Heaven help us.”

Mary Cummings (Jena Malone) sleeps with her boyfriend at her Christian high school, hoping to cure him of his homosexuality, and soon finds herself pregnant. Brian Dannelly sets the story among prayer circles and the perfect Christian friends led by Hilary Faye (Mandy Moore). Mary has to hide the pregnancy from all of them, and every week she stays quiet brings the school's judgment closer.
