Scabbard Samurai

In feudal Japan, Kanjuro Nomi (Takaaki Nomi) walks the countryside with his young daughter Tae (Sea Kumada), a samurai who has deserted his lord and carries nothing in his scabbard. He is caught and given thirty days to make a grieving prince smile, or he dies. Hitoshi Matsumoto sets one man's shame beside a child who has stayed with him anyway, and her loyalty is what he has left to lose.
