In a Canadian laboratory in the early 1990s, Dr. Elton Monet (Colin Fox) develops an experimental drug meant to ease the pain of scanners, people born with telepathic powers. His daughter Helena (Liliana Komorowska) takes it and changes, and Christian Duguay follows her as her gift hardens into an urge to kill. Her brother Alex (Steve Parrish) is the one left trying to reach whatever remains of her.
