“Once upon a time in the Polish Republic.”

A young soldier named Ignac Sikora (Bartosz Bielenia) is caught between empires during the final collapse of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. He joins forces with the legendary commander Tadeusz Kościuszko (Jacek Braciak) and a band of rebels fighting an impossible war against overwhelming odds. Everything hangs on whether this fractured army can hold territory long enough to matter before the great powers carve up the land entirely.
