Scarlet

(2025)Directed by Mamoru Hosoda112 min · PG-13Animation, Action, Drama, Science Fiction

Princess Scarlet (Mana Ashida) has already failed to avenge her father's murder when she wakes in the Land of the Dead. Mamoru Hosoda sends her across it with one deadline: take her revenge on Claudius (Koji Yakusho) and reach the No End Place, or become Void and cease to exist. The film borrows its bones from Hamlet, and the dead world she crosses is a place of madness.
