Scene of the Crime

In the woods, an escaped convict grabs Thomas (Nicolas Giraudi), a 13-year-old boy, and tells him to bring money back later that day. It all unfolds over four days, with the boy's first communion, his separated parents across a table from each other, and his grandmother (Danielle Darrieux) hoping they'll reunite. André Téchiné lets Lili Ravenel (Catherine Deneuve), his mother, drift toward the fugitives, making choices nobody around her expects.
