Scenes from a Mall

“On their 16th wedding anniversary, Deborah and Nick decided to work out all their differences... in public.”

Deborah Finegold-Fifer (Bette Midler), a psychologist, wants her sixteenth anniversary to be perfect, so she and her husband Nick (Woody Allen), a sports lawyer, spend the afternoon shopping at a mall. Then the confessions start coming, one after another, between the stores. Paul Mazursky, who wrote it with Roger L. Simon, plays the whole thing as a loose answer to Bergman's Scenes from a Marriage.
