Scenes from the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills

“Just another weekend of shameless sexual adventures, ill-fated romance and accidental death.”

The servants of two Beverly Hills mansions have placed a bet: Frank, the chauffeur (Ray Sharkey), and Juan, the houseman (Robert Beltran), each want to be first to seduce the other's employer. Their bosses are Clare (Jacqueline Bisset), a new widow, and her house guest Lisabeth (Mary Woronov), who spend the days fussing over their own problems. Paul Bartel makes the wager show how much the people upstairs and the people downstairs envy and mimic each other.
