Scent of a Woman

Fausto Consolo (Vittorio Gassman) is a blind army captain with a foul temper and no patience for being helped, and he wants to get from Turin to Naples. The job of going with him falls to Ciccio (Alessandro Momo), a young cadet, for a week on the road. Dino Risi sets the two side by side, the old soldier barking orders and the boy driving, until what passes between them is closer to dependence than duty.
