Schlock

(1973)Directed by John Landis80 min · PGComedy, Horror
“The first musical monster movie in years.”

Schlock is an ape-like creature, 20 million years old, who lives in a cave outside a quiet Southern California suburb and leaves bodies behind with a banana peel lying close by. Detective Sgt. Wino (Saul Kahan) works the case while a group of teenagers stumble onto the guilty party. John Landis, in his first film as director, also climbs into the ape suit himself and plays the monster.
