School Daze

“A new comedy with music.”

Vaughn "Dap" Dunlap (Laurence Fishburne) is a student at a historically black college who wants the school to divest from apartheid South Africa, and few of his classmates are listening. Homecoming weekend pulls him into a fight with Julian (Giancarlo Esposito), who leads the fraternity members, and the sorority women take sides over hair, skin tone and class. Spike Lee, drawing on his own years at Morehouse, fills the campus with songs and dance numbers.
