Captain Robert Falcon Scott (John Mills) is a Royal Navy officer set on being the first man to reach the South Pole. Charles Frend follows his Terra Nova party south, among them Dr. Wilson (Harold Warrender) and Captain Oates (Derek Bond), with a Norwegian team racing for the same spot. Mills trudges on as the cold closes in, a small dark figure on a white plain.
