A masked killer stalks the small town of Woodsboro, hunting high school students with cryptic movie trivia before he strikes. Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) finds herself at the center of his attention, along with reporter Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox). Wes Craven orchestrates the kills with precision, and by the end Sidney has paid a price that changes what she thought she survived.
