Scrooge: A Christmas Carol

(2022)Directed by Stephen Donnelly97 min · GAnimation, Family, Fantasy

It is Christmas Eve, and the miser Ebenezer Scrooge (Luke Evans) has one night to look at how he got here. The Ghost of Christmas Past (Olivia Colman) takes him back through his own life, to a young Isabel Fezziwig (Jessie Buckley) and to the clerk Bob Cratchit (Johnny Flynn), whom he underpays. Stephen Donnelly turns Dickens's story into an animated musical, and the question running under every song is what a person owes the people he has kept at arm's length.
