“IT'S A CRIME WHAT PRISON CAN DO TO A GIRL!”

A British reform school for girls, in the early 1980s, shot in the grounds around Virginia Water, Surrey. Mai Zetterling follows the inmates through fights, suicide attempts and escape plans, with Carol (Amanda York) and Annetta (Chrissie Cotterill) among the new arrivals. Inside those walls the girls pair off, and the closest bond is the one that costs the most.
