Season's Beatings

“'Tis the Season to be Jolly!”

Christmas in France, and Yvette (Françoise Fabian) meets her grown daughters at a grave. Sonia (Emmanuelle Béart) is wealthy and generous, Louba (Sabine Azéma) sings in a Russian restaurant and has loved a married man for twelve years, and Milla (Charlotte Gainsbourg) is sharp-tongued and alone. Danièle Thompson gathers the three over a few holiday days, and what holds them together is Yvette, a mother they still haven't forgiven for the divorce.
