(2003)Directed by Tim McCanlies111 min · PGFamily, Comedy, Drama

“The McCann brothers have finally met their match.”

Walter (Haley Joel Osment), a shy boy, is dropped on the doorstep of two great-uncles he has never met, his mother Mae (Kyra Sedgwick) already gone. Garth (Michael Caine) and Hub (Robert Duvall) live on a Texas farm and want no company, until their stories about faraway adventures start to reach the boy. McCanlies lets the two old men talk, and the camera stays close enough to watch them listen.
