Secret Agents

From his offices in Switzerland, the Russian Igor Lipovsky runs a profitable gunrunning operation into Africa, and the French government sends a team to sink one of his ships bound for Angola. Brisseau (Vincent Cassel) and the others plan every move and follow orders without asking why. Frédéric Schoendoerffer builds the film from procedural detail and quick, clipped scenes, keeping the mission's code name, Janus, in the background.
