Secret Chronicle: She Beast Market

The Marunishi household in 1970s Osaka runs on a living nobody says aloud. Tome (Meika Seri), a young prostitute with a hard streak, pays for the roof over her aging mother, Yone (Genshū Hanayagi), and her mentally challenged brother, Saneo (Shirō Yumemura). Noboru Tanaka keeps the three of them in the same cramped rooms, and the film stays with how Tome and her mother look at each other.
