Secret of the Blue Room

(1933)Directed by Kurt Neumann66 minMystery, Thriller, Horror
“Shocks! Shivers! Sensation! Surprises! Creeping shadows, clutching hands, a blue death-chamber and a houseful of bewildered men defying the supernatural for the sake of a beautiful girl!...”

Irene von Helldorf (Gloria Stuart) wants her three suitors to stop competing for her, and instead they find a way to compete harder. At her family's European mansion hangs a legend about the blue room, where everyone who has slept the night has died soon after. Kurt Neumann gathers the guests in that house, and the wager they make is that each man can survive a night in the room, which tests how far a belief in a curse will go.
