Rival gangsters out of Chicago arrive in London and start squeezing wealthy Britons for money, each crew set on cutting the other out. Helmut Ashley shoots the city in black and white, and the trail pulls Inspector Weston (Adrian Hoven) into the nightlife around Capt. Allerman (Christopher Lee), a man the underworld clearly answers to. Weston keeps working the case, one name and one frightened witness at a time.
