A few days before the Armistice in November 1918, Lieutenant Pradelle (Laurent Lafitte) orders a senseless attack, and two soldiers who share nothing but the battlefield are tied together by what follows. Édouard (Nahuel Pérez Biscayart) pulls Albert (Albert Dupontel) out of it at a high price, and Albert Dupontel directs as well as stars. Once the guns stop, the two men have to make a life in a country that has no place ready for them.
