Seems Like Old Times

“A husband, 6 dogs, a wife, a larcenous chauffeur, an ex-husband, a temperamental maid, 2 bank robbers, a governor, 2 cats, 2 bad cats and a whole bunch of policemen get together to help you celebrate!”

In Los Angeles in 1980, the bank gets robbed and the writer Nick Gardenia (Chevy Chase) ends up the one the police want. He turns up at the house of his ex-wife Glenda Parks (Goldie Hawn), a public defender, hoping she can clear him. Jay Sandrich sets it in her home, where her husband Ira (Charles Grodin), the District Attorney, is about to host a party for law enforcement, and Nick has until the first guest arrives to stay out of sight.
