Seneca

Seneca (John Malkovich) wants to hold on to his place beside Nero (Tom Xander), the emperor he has taught, advised and helped raise to power since boyhood. In Rome in 65 AD, Nero grows tired of him, and a failed attack on the emperor's life gives him a charge to bring against his old tutor. Robert Schwentke follows the philosopher through his last days, and the bond between teacher and pupil is what is really on trial.
